Kate Hennessy's passion is to help us refocus when life gets in the way. Her own battles began early, being abused by her alcoholic father and the consequences that followed. As an obese and bullied child, she struggled to gain a sense of self worth. At 18, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and began a new battle. Following that, she faced the loss of her own child, a debilitating car accident, and cancer again at age 48. Kate realized that she needed help to overcome and get on with her life, and now she wants to share with you some of these ideas and people she met along the way. With the help of some dynamic individuals who have also overcome and truly come out stronger, this hour of power is something she is looking forward to sharing!
Join Kate Hennessy and her weekly guest as they share their secrets, what almost brought them down, and the inspiring techniques we all need to cultivate to make your life, and everyone around you, positive and hopeful.
More About Kate
Her empathy comes from her own background of traumatic events. Kate has overcome life with an abusive, alcoholic father, obesity and shyness as a young girl, an eating disorder as a teen, cervical cancer at age 18, horrific car accident, loss of a child, cancer again, and divorce!
She had constant moments of "GOD, are you kidding me?" over and over and yet continued to pick herself up and start again. It's been that battle through and her faith that people started to come to her to ask how she kept going. It was through the help of others that had faced similar battles, that she felt sharing her challenges and triumphs with others might help as she had been helped. Kate hopes to inspire audiences with some of her own stories and those of some amazing guests.
