Dr. Sharyn Wynters


Sharyn Wynters is a naturopathic doctor with over 30 years experience in the wellness industry. Her commitment to helping people change their lives through health and nutrition came as the result of personal health challenges that provided her with the opportunity to examine her daily choices. By modifying her diet, by changing the products she routinely used in her home and in her personal care, and even by reviewing the thought patterns in her life, she was able to cure herself of a degenerative disease. She acknowledges that her health opportunity was the perfect challenge and the perfect teacher. It provided tremendous learning and growth which she is now able to share with others as they pursue a similar path to health and a more vibrant life.

Dr. Wynters is internationally recognized for the regenerative program she developedbased on a lifestyle that includes whole food nutrition and a toxin-free living environment. Her life-changing program helps put people back on the pathway to balance and peak performance. Dr. Wynters was not always focused on health and nutrition. She has pursued many dreams and found success in a variety of lifetime adventures. At the age of 17 Sharyn become Miss Pennsylvania in the Miss World competition. Later, she became a top fashion model for Oleg Cassini, the famed dress designer for Jacqueline Kennedy. In the late 1960s she began an acting careerher first role was as Cat Girl on the original Batman TV series. Guest appearances on shows like, Rockford Files, Police Story, Banacek, and Kojak, were frequent. She also appeared in a number of films such as Odd Couple, Hook, Line & Sinker, and West World."

In her 20s, with everything going for her as a successful actress, Sharyn developed health problems. Her health opportunity gave her the chance to study with the famous Dr. William Donald Kelley. Within a month her whole life had changed. She threw out toxic cosmetics and household cleaners; she had dental fillings replaced; and she completely changed her diet. Her quest for health became her passionultimately she was victorious.

With a new passion, Sharyn studied dozens of disciplines in wellness, body work, and spiritual attunement including: Rolfing, Heller work, Gestalt therapy, Primal Therapy, Mind Dynamics, Metabolic Nutrition, Breathwork, Meditation, Emily Conrads Continuum, Pilates, Hypnosis, Vocal Bio Matrix, Sound therapy, Emotional release, Cranial Sacral, Reflexology, Structural Release, Myotherapy, Orthobiotomy, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Acupuncture, all forms of Yoga, and many others. Besides her degree as a naturopathic doctor from the Clayton School of Natural healing, Sharyn Wynters also has a degree from the Santa Monica School of Massage Therapy. With such an expansive background, Dr. Sharyn Wynters has been able to help thousands of individuals on the pathway to a more healthy life. For years that has been her focus.

One of the things that distinguishes Dr. Wynters from other health practitioners is her passion for making a difference. She is fully committed to the empowerment of others and she is dedicated to being a healing influence on as many lives as possiblein as many ways as possible. I know what it is like to have my life given back to me, says Dr. Wynters. This book, How to Survive in a Toxic World, is my way of giving back. My journey to health was one epiphany after another.
