The Dr. Pat Show: Talk Radio to Thrive By!: Help Me God, I'm Poor - Send Pennies from Heaven with Author Fiona FinnFiona Finn knows firsthand that women and children are generally the worst victims of poverty. Yet most poverty elimination strategies fail to remember them. Several circumstances affect the feminization of poverty, and these circumstances place women at high risk of poverty. The author of Help Me God, I’m Poor: Send Pennies from Heaven, Fiona is an ordinary woman with an extraordinary story who refused to become another statistic of cruel poverty due to experiencing spousal abandonment during her fight against stage III colon cancer.

According to Maria Shriver’s annual report on Women in America (Jan. 2014), 1 in 3 American women, 42 million women, plus 28 million children, either live in poverty or are right on the brink of it. Truly, many of us are only one paycheck, one divorce, or one illness away from encountering unimaginable financial hardship.

Despite Fiona’s misfortune, of becoming penniless and a single mother of three after years of running a multi-million dollar real estate brokerage she found the faith to persevere. But before she learned how to remove those negative thoughts preventing success, Fiona had to move from a victim to a victor mentality.

Episode giveaways:

  • 5 autographed copies of Fiona's book - Help Me God, I'm Poor, will be given away during the show.
