Wendy Davis from the popular television show Army Wives, has a personal story to tell about living with ADHD Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Ms. Davis' message is that ADHD makes a person "different, not defective." Davis is serving as the spokesperson for CHADD Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, the leading national organization that serves adults and children with ADHD, to promote ADHD Awareness Month. The goal of ADHD Awareness Month is to reduce the misunderstanding and stigma about ADHD. ADHD is a widespread and often misunderstood mental health condition, and Ms. Davis is part of the national campaign entitled "The Many Faces of ADHD" which promotes the fact that people from all walks of life live with ADHD.
