Darryl Means


Mr. Means is CMS Regional Administrator for Region 10. He is a key leadership official responsible overseeing CMS Medicare and Medicaid programs, CMS regional initiatives, business development, and customer satisfaction for the Chicago and Seattle regional offices. Mr. Means’ background includes a distinguished leadership career in the United States Air Force, as well as leadership positions in the private health insurance and technology sectors. He served as the Western Area Director for Technology Consulting Services at Siemens Medical Solutions working closely with hospital top level leaders and physician practices throughout the Midwest, Northwest and Southwest; improving business operations to ensure high-quality care services and improved access to care for millions of patients. He also served as the Director of Healthcare Solutions for Adaptis, Inc., a Seattle-based third party billing and administration firm, responsible for processing for more than 30 million Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Managed Care billing and claims transactions per year for millions of patients across the country. Mr. Means joined CMS in 2009. He’s earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Technology Management from St. Leo, University, a Master Degree in Health Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University.
