Frances Messano, a Managing Partner at NewSchools Venture Fund, co-leads the company’s diverse leaders strategy and investment work, along with designing the content for their annual Summit conference. Recently, Messano served as Vice President of Strategy on Teach for America’s strategy, Innovation and Organization Development Team. Her role was to lead TFA through its long-range strategic planning process. Previously, Frances was an Associate Partner at Monitor Institute. Along with these roles, Messano worked at Morgan Stanley for four years in equity sales and structuring.
Frances has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Harvard College. Messano is a first-generation college graduate and an alum of Prep for Prep, Management Leadership for Tomorrow, and Sponsors for Educational Opportunity. She credits these organizations with helping her gain access to educational and professional opportunity.
