Kim Powers


Kim Powers is a two-time Emmy winner and the Senior Writer for ABC’s 20/20. He is also the author of the recent novel Rules for Being Dead, well as Capote in Kansas; the thriller Dig Two Graves, and the critically acclaimed memoir The History of Swimming, a Barnes & Noble “Discover” Book and Lambda Literary Award finalist for Best Memoir of the Year. He also was selected as one of the “Out 100” by Out magazine. A native Texan, he received an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and lives in New York City and Asbury Park, NJ.
