Regent Brown seeks to be a partner in change. Regent has gained experience through a career in Human Resources which allowed the opportunity to develop skills in community outreach, inclusive hiring practices, training & development, workplace safety and anti-violence measures through relationship building.
To further her reach into community to achieve truly transformational change, Regent also serves on the City of Seattle Race and Social Justice Change Team in the Leadership Committee. The Change Team works toward advancing the Race & Social Justice Initiative goals within Department of Parks & Recreation by collaborating with Department Leadership. They implement concrete strategies and work items, and recommend effective policies, practices, and procedures that will result in advancing opportunities, achieving equity, and dismantling institutionalized racism. This work extends into the community as outreach, training and collaboration.
