Roseanne Geisel

Roseanne Geisel is a board certified patient advocate who started Geisel Advocacy for Patients LLC, based in Northern Virginia, in 2018.  Roseanne’s impetus for becoming a patient advocate was twofold—years of volunteering on the HelpLine of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and growing up in a family of physicians, which has given her a familiarity with and understanding of the healthcare system. Her main areas of concentration are mental health and geriatric care, although she provides services for clients with other medical diagnoses. 

 

Prior to becoming a patient advocate, Roseanne spent more than 15 years as a journalist in the business press and then more than 10 years as a freelance reporter, writer and copyeditor. She holds a bachelor of arts and a master of science in journalism from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
