Taylor Mefford


Taylor Mefford (he/they) is a mental health counselor serving people all over New York State. They have a background working with a variety of underserved populations, including homeless youth, LGBTQ individuals, and cult survivors. Following work with nonprofits supporting these populations, Taylor received a master's degree in mental health counseling from Fordham University. Since completing their studies in 2020, they have worked in public and private settings and currently are employed with a Brooklyn-based private practice. In their day-to-day work, they provide therapy for childhood trauma, complicated bereavement, and LGBTQ identity issues, as well as educate local individuals and organizations on grief-related issues in contemporary society. In their free time, Taylor likes to cook, listen to music, and hang out with their wife and two cats.
