Zorina Wolfrum started her path with drumming when she became the student of the late Nigerian drummer Baba Olatunji. She studied with Baba for fourteen years, learning Pan-African cultural songs and dances as well as drum orchestration.
In 1996, she met Reinhard Flatischler, the developer of the TaKeTiNa process, and saw the potential for taking her rhythm training deeper. She completed her three-year basic level TaKeTiNa training under Reinhard Flatischler in 2001, and in 2003 completed her advanced level exam. She also completed three other post-graduate trainings.
Zorina is the developer of the Whole Person Drumming curriculuma way to learn the power of drum orchestration to create music and community. For more information, please see her website at www.villageheartbeat.com
